Task 3 “Gis a Logo”

For this task we had to use Illustrator and DaFont to make a logo.

I started this task off by producing some scetches of logos i could make.

I like the wide range of logos that I have chosen to design. This gives me the opportunity to pick and choose the right logo for me. For my final logo I have chosen to use logo 4, this is because this logo is simple but effective. The part of the logo that stands out is the HL which is the main part of the logo as it is my name, the less important part of the logo is the photography, this is why the font on this part of the logo is less legible that the other font.

After I had chosen the logo that I was going to use as my logo I decided to try out a few fonts to see which could sum up my photography the best.  After I have evaluated the fonts I still decided that the first font that I had used summed up my photography.

Task 4 “Gis an Interview”

For this task we had to construct an email detailing who you are and what you do. we also had to include a portfolio and contact infomation.

Hello,

My name is Heather Louise Longbottom of Heather Louise Photography. I am 18 years of age and I’m a freelance photographer. I am based in Leeds but can travel. I am focusing on animal, nature and landscape photography but also do studio shoots for families, small groups and individuals. I do have a college education in photography.

My rates are on an hourly basis of £40 this does include studio shoots. There would also be an extra charge of £15 per person(s) over the age of 15 for studio shoots. Prints will cost £5 per print and will also be available about a week after the shoot. Alternatively the images will be available on disk.

Task 5 - "Gis A Job"

For this task we had to prepare the material we would take with us to the meeting.

Task 6 - Again "Gis a Job"

For this task we had to make a follow up promotion, I chose to make a 3 month calendar so that every 3 months I could sent them a new one that has all of my details on and some of my photography so that they can look at it on a daily basis and hopefully one day they would get in contact with me.

Task 7 – Job Well Done

For this task I have to evaluate my performance during this project. Through out this project I believe that I could have worked at a faster pace to get the work finished at a better time so that I didn’t have to rush towards the end thus I wasn’t late handing the project in. Although I believe this I do think working at the pace I did gave me more time to complete the pervious tasks to a higher level. I do think that the materials that I have produced are to an adiquate level, and i think that i would have a good chance to get the job if i applied using these materials. For task 6 I didn't realise that i had used the same images as i had in a previous task and if i were to send that off i would think about changing that images. on the other hand this image could be a conection image so that the contact will remember me.
